Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base station on stable surface.

  1. Connect Base to Network: Use included Ethernet cable to connect the W73B LAN port to your router/switch.
  2. Power the Base: Connect the power adapter to the DC 5V port and plug into AC outlet. Alternatively, use PoE.
  3. Charge the Handset: Place the W73H handset on its charging cradle. Charge fully before first use.
  4. Install Handset Battery: If not pre-installed, insert the provided battery into the handset back compartment.

WARNING! Use only the provided Yealink power adapter. Ensure proper ventilation around the base station.

First-Time Setup

Power on the base and handset; follow automatic registration process.

  1. Handset Registration: The handset will automatically search and register to the base. PIN code may be required (default is 0000).
  2. Configure SIP Accounts: Access the web interface of the base station (via IP address) to configure your VoIP service provider details.
  3. Set Date & Time: Configure via handset menu (Settings > Time & Date) or base web interface.
  4. Adjust Audio Settings: Set ringer volume, handset volume, and tone settings via handset.

CAUTION! Keep the base station away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.

Connecting to Network

Base connects via Ethernet to your LAN. PC can be connected to base's PC port.

  1. Ensure base is powered off before connecting cables.
  2. Connect Ethernet cable from your router/switch to the LAN port on the W73B base.
  3. For PoE, ensure your switch provides 802.3af power; connect to LAN port.
  4. Power on the base. Check LED indicators (PWR steady, LAN blinking).
  5. Obtain base IP address via handset menu (Status > Network) for web configuration.

Tip: Use a standard CAT5e or higher Ethernet cable for reliable connection.

Making and Receiving Calls

Supports multiple lines and accounts.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press SPEAKERPHONE, dial number, press CALL/SEND.
  2. Receive a Call: Press CALL/SEND or any dial key to answer. Press REJECT to decline.
  3. End a Call: Press END or place handset back on charger.
  4. Hold: Press HOLD during a call.
  5. Transfer: Press TRANSFER, dial target number, press TRANSFER again to complete.
  6. Conference: During a call, press CONFERENCE, dial second party, press CONFERENCE again to merge.
  7. Redial: Press REDIAL to call last dialed number.
  8. Mute: Press MUTE during a call to mute microphone.

WARNING! Do not use the phone in wet conditions. Keep away from water.

Advanced Features

Intercom: Call between registered handsets. Paging: Broadcast announcement to all handsets. Call Forward: Redirect calls based on rules. DND (Do Not Disturb): Silence calls. Headset Mode: Use wired headset via 3.5mm jack. Phonebook: Store contacts on handset or base. Firmware Upgrade: Via web interface or TFTP.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean handset and base. Do not use chemicals or abrasive materials.
