Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (if not using PoE)
  • Handset and cord
  • Screwdriver (for wall mount)
  • Network switch with PoE support

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from packaging and verify contents: IP phone, handset, handset cord, Ethernet cable, power adapter, and documentation.
  2. Connect Network Cable: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone and the other end to your network switch or router.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the phone and plug into a power outlet, OR ensure your network switch provides Power over Ethernet (PoE).
  4. Handset Connection: Connect the handset cord to the handset and the handset port on the phone.
  5. Optional Accessories: Connect optional accessories such as a headset to the appropriate ports.
  6. Power On: Press the power button or connect power. The phone will boot up and attempt to obtain an IP address via DHCP.
  7. Configuration: Configure the phone via web interface or auto-provisioning server using the IP address displayed on screen.
Warning: Use only Yealink-approved accessories. Ensure proper ventilation around the device and avoid exposure to moisture.

Troubleshooting

Common Error Codes

  • Codec Mismatch: Audio codec negotiation failed - Verify supported codecs on both ends
  • Memory Full: Storage capacity exceeded - Clear call records or recordings
  • DHCP Failed: IP address not obtained - Check DHCP server or use static IP
