Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use the provided Ethernet cable to connect the LAN port on the phone to your network switch or router. For PoE, ensure your switch supports 802.3af/at.
  2. Connect Handset: Plug the handset cord into the dedicated port on the base unit and the handset.
  3. Connect Power: If not using PoE, connect the included power adapter to the DC 5V port and a wall outlet.
  4. Connect Optional Devices: Plug a headset into the 3.5mm jack or connect an expansion module to the EXP40 port.

WARNING! Use only the provided or Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure proper ventilation around the device.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Network Configuration: The phone will attempt to obtain an IP address via DHCP. Check the screen for the assigned IP.
  2. Access Web Interface: From a computer on the same network, enter the phone's IP address into a web browser.
  3. Configure SIP Accounts: Navigate to Account > General and enter SIP server details provided by your service provider.
  4. Set Language and Time: In Settings > Basic, set preferred language (default: English) and configure NTP server for time synchronization.
  5. Test Call: Lift the handset and dial a test number to verify audio and registration.

CAUTION! Keep firmware updated for security and performance. Back up configuration after setup.

  3. For Expansion Module: Connect to EXP40 port, phone will auto-detect and prompt for configuration.
  4. Select audio path via HEADSET or SPEAKERPHONE button during a call.

Tip: Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance. Keep Wi-Fi antenna upright for best signal.
