Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose installation location.

  1. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable to connect LAN port to switch/router. For PoE, ensure switch supports 802.3af.
  2. Connect handset: Plug handset cord into dedicated port on base unit.
  3. Connect power: If not using PoE, connect included power adapter to DC port and wall outlet.
  4. Mount phone: Use included bracket for wall mounting if desired.

WARNING! Use only Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure proper ventilation around device.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Network configuration: Phone will attempt DHCP. For static IP, configure via keypad or web interface.
  2. SIP account setup: Enter SIP server, username, password provided by your VoIP service provider.
  3. Wi-Fi setup: Navigate to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi to connect to wireless network.
  4. Date and time: Set time zone and NTP server for accurate time display.

Connecting Devices

  2. For wired headset, plug into 3.5mm headset jack.
  3. For Bluetooth headset, pair via Settings > Bluetooth.

Tip: Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cable for Gigabit performance.

Advanced Telephony Features

Supports advanced business telephony functions.

  1. Call Transfer: During call, press Transfer, enter number, press Transfer again or hang up.
  2. Conference Call: During call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to merge.
  3. Call Forward: Set via phone menu or web interface (always, busy, no answer).
  4. BLF (Busy Lamp Field): Program keys to monitor extension status.
  5. Speed Dial: Assign frequently called numbers to programmable keys.
  6. Call Recording: Start/stop recording via dedicated key (if supported by PBX).
  7. Intercom: Configure for direct voice communication between extensions.
  8. XML Applications: Display custom XML information (weather, directory, etc.).
