T54S / T53 Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (CAT5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (included)
  • Handset and cord
  • Mounting bracket (optional)
  • Network switch/router

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present.
  2. Connect to Network: Connect the Ethernet cable from your network switch/router to the LAN port on the phone.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the phone and plug into a power outlet.
  4. Handset Connection: Connect the handset cord to the handset port on the phone.
  5. Optional PC Connection: For pass-through networking, connect your computer to the PC port on the phone.
  6. Power On: Press the power button or wait for auto-start. The phone will boot up and attempt to obtain an IP address.
  7. Configuration: Access the web interface using the IP address displayed on the screen to configure SIP settings.
  8. Test Call: Make a test call to verify audio quality and connection stability.
Warning: Use only Yealink-approved power adapters. Incorrect power supply may damage the device and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Phone won't power on Power adapter issue, PoE not working Check power connection, try different power source, verify PoE switch
No dial tone Network issue, SIP configuration error Check network connection, verify SIP account settings
Poor audio quality Network congestion, codec mismatch Check network bandwidth, verify codec configuration

Error Codes

  • No Service: Network connection issue - Check Ethernet cable and network settings
  • Registration Failed: SIP registration error - Verify SIP credentials and server address
  • DNS Error: Domain resolution failure - Check DNS settings
  • DHCP Failed: IP address assignment issue - Check DHCP server or use static IP
  • Audio Codec Mismatch: Incompatible codec settings - Adjust codec priority
  • Memory Full: Storage capacity exceeded - Clear call logs or reset
