Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect LAN port to your network switch/router. For PoE, ensure switch provides 802.3af power.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to your computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug handset cord into dedicated jack on back of phone.
  4. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug into 3.5mm headset jack.
  5. Power: Phone will power on via PoE. If not using PoE, connect the included power adapter to the DC 5V port.

WARNING! Use only the provided or Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and attempt to auto-provision if configured by your service provider.

  1. Network Configuration: If not auto-provisioned, press Menu button, navigate to Settings > Network to set IP address (DHCP or static).
  2. SIP Account Registration: Go to Settings > Account to enter SIP server, username, password, and display name provided by your IT admin or service provider.
  3. Date & Time: Set time zone and NTP server under Settings > Time.
  4. Audio Settings: Adjust handset, headset, and speakerphone volume using side keys or menu.
  5. Test Call: Make a test call to verify registration and audio quality.

CAUTION! Handle the handset cord with care to avoid internal wire damage.

Access menu via MENU button. Navigation uses arrow keys and OK.

Keypad: 0-9, *, # for dialing. Function Keys: HOLD, TRANSFER, CONFERENCE, REDIAL, MUTE, HEADSET, SPEAKERPHONE.

Menu Structure: Settings (Account, Network, Audio, Time, LCD), Features (Call Forward, DND, Call Waiting), Status (Network, System, Call History).

Audio Settings: Adjust volume for handset, headset, speaker, ringer. Network: Configure IP, VLAN, QoS. Account: SIP registration parameters.

Connecting Devices

Network: LAN port to switch. PC: PC port to computer. Headset: 3.5mm jack. EHS: Dedicated port for wireless headset adapter.

  1. Power off phone before connecting cables if not using hot-pluggable PoE.
  2. Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance.
  3. For headset use, configure Headset mode via menu or dedicated key.

Tip: Use LLDP-MED or VLAN configuration if your network requires voice VLAN separation.

Advanced Telephony Features

Supports standard and advanced PBX features.

  1. Make Call: Lift handset or press SPEAKERPHONE/HEADSET, dial number.
  2. Answer Call: Lift handset, press SPEAKERPHONE, or press corresponding line key.
  3. Hold: Press HOLD key during a call; resume by pressing same line key.
  4. Transfer: During call, press TRANSFER, dial target number, press TRANSFER again to complete (blind) or wait for answer then transfer (attended).
  5. Conference: On first call, press CONFERENCE, dial second party, press CONFERENCE again to merge.
  6. Call Forward: Configure via menu (Settings > Features > Call Forward) for always, busy, no answer.
  7. DND (Do Not Disturb): Press DND key or enable via menu to silence calls.
  8. Call History: Press the Directory key to view missed, received, and placed calls.

WARNING! Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners on the keypad or display.

Accessibility Features

Visual: Adjustable LCD contrast and backlight timer. Audio: Adjustable ringer volume and tone selection. Physical: Large, tactile keys. Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC) handset available as an option.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen cloth with water. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Avoid getting moisture into openings (ports, vents). Keep away from extreme heat and direct sunlight.
