Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use the included Ethernet cable to connect the LAN/PoE port to your network switch or router. For PoE, ensure your switch supports 802.3af.
  2. Connect Handset: Plug the RJ9 connector of the handset cord into the handset port on the phone base.
  3. Connect Power: If not using PoE, connect the included 12V DC power adapter to the DC IN port and a power outlet.
  4. Connect Optional PC: Use the PC port to connect a computer for pass-through networking.

WARNING! Use only the provided or Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure proper ventilation around the phone.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; follow on-screen prompts or configure via web interface.

  1. Initial Boot: Phone will attempt to obtain an IP address via DHCP. Note the IP address displayed on the screen.
  2. Access Web Interface: From a computer on the same network, enter the phone's IP address into a web browser.
  3. Configure SIP Account: Navigate to Account > General. Enter the SIP server, username, password, and display name provided by your service provider.
  4. Set Language & Time: In Settings > Basic, set your preferred language, time zone, and NTP server.
  5. Test Call: Lift the handset or press the speakerphone key to get a dial tone and make a test call.

CAUTION! Do not expose the phone to liquids or extreme temperatures.

Access settings via the touch screen Menu or the web configuration interface.

Front Panel: Touch screen, Mute key, Headset key, Speakerphone key, Navigation pad, Volume keys, Programmable keys (up to 27).

Web Interface (Key Settings): Account: Configure SIP accounts and registration. Features: Call Forward, DND, Call Waiting. Audio: Adjust handset, speaker, ringer volume and codec preferences. Network: Configure IP, VLAN, QoS settings. Security: Set admin and user passwords, configure HTTPS.

Connecting Devices

Network: LAN/PoE port to network. PC: PC port to computer. Headset: RJ9 jack for wired headset. Bluetooth: Pair compatible headset or smartphone.

  1. Turn off phone before connecting wired accessories.
  2. For Bluetooth, enable from phone menu: Settings > Bluetooth > Discoverable Mode.
  3. For optional Wi-Fi, insert the Wi-Fi module into the USB port and configure via web interface.

Tip: Use quality, shielded cables for network connections to avoid interference.

Advanced Call Features

Supports advanced PBX and SIP features.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number, or select a contact from directory.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press the flashing line key.
  3. Call Hold: Press Hold key during a call; resume by pressing the held line key.
  4. Call Transfer (Blind/Attended): Press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again or hang up.
  5. Three-Way Conference: During a call, press Conference, dial third party, press Conference again to merge.
  6. Call Forward: Configure via web interface or phone menu (Always, Busy, No Answer).
  7. Programmable Keys: Assign to Speed Dial, BLF (Busy Lamp Field), Call Park, Intercom, etc.
  8. Directory: Store contacts locally or sync with LDAP server.

WARNING! Do not use the phone during an electrical storm. Unplug during lightning activity.

Accessibility Features

Adjustable Screen Brightness: Settings > Preferences > Display. High-Contrast Wallpaper: Available for download. Ringer Volume & Tone: Fully adjustable per account. Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC) Handset: Meets relevant standards.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the screen and housing. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or sprays directly on the phone.

CAUTION! Never allow liquid to enter any openings on the phone. Keep away from direct heat sources.
