Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable desk surface.

  1. Connect Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect LAN/PoE port to switch/router. For PoE, ensure switch provides 802.3af power.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset port.
  4. Connect Power: If not using PoE, plug 12V DC power adapter into power port and wall outlet.
  5. Connect Headset (optional): Plug into headset port for hands-free operation.

WARNING! Use only Yealink-provided or certified power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Network Boot: Phone will attempt to obtain IP via DHCP. Check IP address on screen (Menu > Status > Network).
  2. Provisioning: Auto-provision via TR-069, TFTP, HTTP, or HTTPS from your PBX/server. Enter provisioning URL if required.
  3. Account Configuration: Enter SIP server, username, password, and display name for each line via web GUI (http://[phone-IP]) or touchscreen.
  4. Set Language & Time: In Settings > Basic > Preferences, select language and configure NTP server for time sync.
  5. Test Call: Make a test call to verify audio and registration.

CAUTION! Keep phone away from direct heat sources and liquids.

Controls and Settings

Access settings via touchscreen Menu or web interface (http://[phone-IP]). Physical Buttons: MUTE, HEADSET, SPEAKERPHONE, NAVIGATION, VOLUME.

Touchscreen: Home screen with lines, contacts, call history, features. Swipe for additional panels.

Basic Settings: Language, time zone, screen brightness, ringtone selection. Account Settings: SIP server, authentication, display name. Audio Settings: Handset volume, speaker volume, ring volume, codec priority. Network Settings: Static/DHCP, VLAN, QoS. Features: Call forward, DND, call waiting, speed dials.

Connecting Devices

Network: LAN/PoE port to network. PC: PC port to computer. Headset: Analog headset to headset port. USB: Flash drive for call recording or Bluetooth adapter.

  1. Turn off phone before connecting wired accessories.
  2. For Bluetooth, enable in Settings > Basic > Bluetooth, then pair device.
  3. For Wi-Fi, insert optional module, then configure in Network > Wi-Fi Settings.

Tip: Use quality CAT5e or higher Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance.

Advanced Call Features

Supports advanced PBX features.

  1. Make Call: Tap line key or dial number on keypad, then tap Call or press handset.
  2. Answer Call: Tap Answer, press line key, or lift handset.
  3. Hold: Tap Hold during call; resume by tapping line.
  4. Transfer: Tap Transfer, dial target, tap Transfer again (blind) or wait for answer then tap Transfer (attended).
  5. Conference: On active call, tap Conference, dial second party, tap Conference again to merge.
  6. Call Forward: Enable via Features > Call Forward > Always/Busy/No Answer with target number.
  7. Speed Dial: Assign numbers to programmable keys via web GUI.
  8. Call Recording: Insert USB drive, tap Record during call (if enabled by PBX).

WARNING! Do not disconnect USB drive during recording to avoid data loss.

Accessibility Features

High-Contrast Theme: Enable in Settings > Basic > Display. Adjustable Font Size: In Display settings. Audio: Adjustable tone and volume for handset, speaker, ringer. Visual Alerts: LED indicators for missed calls/messages.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Use slightly damp, lint-free cloth for screen and body. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
