Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect Network: Use included Ethernet cable to connect LAN port to network switch/router.
  2. Power the Phone: Use PoE from switch or connect the included power adapter to the DC 5V port.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug handset cable into the dedicated port on the base unit.
  4. Optional Headset: Connect wired headset to the headset jack or pair Bluetooth headset.

WARNING! Use only Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure proper ventilation around the device.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Network Configuration: Phone will attempt DHCP. For static IP, configure via web interface or keypad.
  2. SIP Account Registration: Enter SIP server, username, password provided by your service provider.
  3. Set Language & Time: In Settings menu, select preferred language and configure NTP server for time sync.
  4. Audio Adjustment: Test and adjust handset, speakerphone, and ringer volume.

CAUTION! Keep the phone away from liquids and extreme temperatures.

Connecting Devices

Network: Ethernet cable to LAN port. Optional: PC to PC port for pass-through. Headset: Wired to headset jack or Bluetooth pairing.

  1. Turn off phone before connecting additional devices.
  2. For Wi-Fi: Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi, select network, enter password.
  3. For Bluetooth: Go to Settings > Bluetooth, enable, search and pair device.

Tip: Use quality CAT5e or higher Ethernet cables for optimal Gigabit performance.

Advanced Features

  1. Call Handling: Hold, transfer (blind/attended), conference (3-party), forward.
  2. Voicemail: Visual voicemail indicator; access via message key or dialing.
  3. Contacts: Sync with LDAP, import via web interface, store up to 2000 entries.
  4. Call History: View missed, received, placed calls with timestamps.
  5. XML Browser: For custom directories and services.
  6. Security: TLS/SRTP for encrypted calls, admin/user password protection.
  7. Firmware Upgrade: Via web interface or auto-provisioning server.

WARNING! Do not attempt firmware upgrade during active calls. Backup configuration first.
