Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a stable, well-ventilated location.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug an Ethernet cable from your router/switch into the "WAN" port on the phone.
  2. Connect a PC (Optional): Plug another Ethernet cable from the "PC" port on the phone to your computer.
  3. Power the Phone: Use the included power adapter OR ensure your network switch provides PoE (802.3af).
  4. Connect Handset: Plug the handset cord into the dedicated port on the base.
  5. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug a 3.5mm headset into the headset jack.

WARNING! Use only the provided or Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will attempt to obtain network settings via DHCP.

  1. Check Network: The LCD should display the IP address obtained. Press the "OK" button to view.
  2. Access Web Interface: Enter the phone's IP address into a web browser on your PC.
  3. Configure SIP Account: Log in (default admin/password), navigate to Account tab, and enter SIP server, username, and password provided by your VoIP service provider.
  4. Basic Settings: Set time zone, language (default ENGLISH), ringtone, and LCD contrast via the phone's menu or web interface.
  5. Test Call: Make a test call to verify audio and registration.

CAUTION! Keep the phone away from direct heat sources and liquids.

Keypad: 0-9, *, #, NAVIGATION (Up/Down/Left/Right/OK), MENU, HEADSET, MUTE, SPEAKERPHONE, VOLUME UP/DOWN, TRANSFER, CONFERENCE, REDIAL, MESSAGE.

LCD Icons: Show call status, line registration, mute, speaker, headset, DND, message waiting.

Phone Settings (Menu): Audio (ringer volume, handset volume, tone settings), Display (contrast, backlight time, screen saver), Time & Date, Call Features (forward, DND settings).

Web Interface (Advanced): Account configuration, Network settings (static/DHCP), Firmware upgrade, Security settings, XML push configuration.

Connecting Devices

Network: WAN port to router/switch. PC: PC port to computer. Headset: 3.5mm jack.

  1. Ensure phone and other devices are powered off before connecting.
  2. Use standard CAT5e or higher Ethernet cables.
  3. For PoE, ensure your network switch is 802.3af compliant.
  4. After connections, power on the phone. The network and PC link LEDs should illuminate.

Tip: Label your Ethernet cables for easier network management.

Advanced Call Features

Supports standard and advanced business telephony functions.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press SPEAKERPHONE/HEADSET, dial number.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press SPEAKERPHONE, or press the flashing line key.
  3. Call Hold: Press the "Hold" softkey or dedicated button during a call.
  4. Call Transfer (Blind): Press TRANSFER, dial target number, press TRANSFER again.
  5. Call Transfer (Attended): Press TRANSFER, dial target number and consult, press TRANSFER again to complete.
  6. 3-Way Conference: During a call, press CONFERENCE, dial third party, press CONFERENCE again to merge.
  7. Call Forward: Enable via menu or web interface (Always, Busy, No Answer).
  8. Do Not Disturb (DND): Press and hold the MUTE button for 2 seconds or enable via menu.
  9. Redial: Press REDIAL to call the last dialed number.

WARNING! Do not use the phone during an electrical storm. Unplug for safety.

Accessibility Features

Adjustable Ringer Volume: Set via menu or volume keys during ringing. Adjustable LCD Contrast: Set via Display menu. High-Contrast Icons: Standard on LCD. Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC): Handset is HAC rated.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the power and network cables before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

CAUTION! Never spray liquids directly onto the phone. Avoid getting moisture into openings.
