Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable desk surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect LAN/PoE port to switch/router. For PoE, ensure switch supports 802.3af.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset jack.
  4. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug into 3.5mm headset jack or use EHS adapter.
  5. Apply Power: Use PoE or connect included AC power adapter to DC port and wall outlet.

WARNING! Use only Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Network Boot: Phone will attempt to obtain IP via DHCP. Check IP address on screen (Press Menu > Status > Network).
  2. Configure SIP Account: Via web interface (enter phone IP in browser) or phone menu (Settings > Account). Enter server, username, password provided by IT/Service Provider.
  3. Set Language: Press Menu > Settings > Basic Settings > Language.
  4. Set Time & Date: Configure via NTP or manually in Settings > Time Settings.
  5. Test Call: Make a test call to verify audio and registration.

CAUTION! Keep phone away from direct heat sources and liquids.

Connecting Devices

Network: LAN/PoE port to network. PC: PC port to computer. Headset: 3.5mm jack or EHS adapter.

  1. Turn off phone before connecting cables if using AC power.
  2. Match cables to ports (Ethernet to LAN, handset to handset jack).
  3. For PoE, verify switch provides adequate power (802.3af Class 2).

Tip: Use quality CAT5e or higher Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance.

Advanced Call Features

Supports call hold, transfer, forward, conferencing, recording (if supported by server).

  1. Make Call: Lift handset or press Speaker/Headset, dial number.
  2. Answer Call: Lift handset, press Speaker, Headset, or corresponding line key.
  3. Hold: Press Hold soft key during call.
  4. Transfer: During call, press Transfer, dial target, press Transfer again (blind) or wait for answer then press Transfer (attended).
  5. Conference: During first call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to merge.
  6. Call Forward: Configure via phone menu or web interface (always, busy, no answer).
  7. DND (Do Not Disturb): Press DND key or enable via menu.
  8. Call Recording: Press Record soft key if supported by server (check with administrator).

WARNING! Do not disconnect cables during firmware upgrade. Use supported firmware from Yealink only.

Accessibility Features

Adjustable Ringer Volume: Via volume keys or settings menu. High-Contrast Display: Adjustable brightness and contrast in Display settings. Headset Mode: For hands-free operation. Visual Alerts: LED indicators on programmable keys for missed calls/voicemail.
