Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface or mount on wall.

  1. Connect Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect LAN port to your network switch/router.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to your computer.
  3. Power the Phone: Use PoE from switch or connect the included power adapter to the DC 5V port.
  4. Connect Handset: Plug the handset cord into the RJ9 handset port.
  5. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug headset into the RJ9 headset port.

WARNING! Use only the provided or Yealink-approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will attempt to auto-provision from the network.

  1. Check Network: Ensure the phone obtains an IP address (check display or web interface).
  2. Configure Account: Via web interface (enter phone's IP in browser) or directly on phone menu: Press Menu key > Settings > Account > configure SIP server, username, password.
  3. Set Date & Time: Menu > Settings > Time & Date > configure NTP server or manual settings.
  4. Test Call: Lift handset and dial a number to verify registration and audio.

CAUTION! Handle the handset cord with care to avoid damage to the connector.

Access menu via dedicated Menu key. Navigation: 4-way navigation key with OK in center.

Keypad: 0-9, *, #, Mute, Headset, Speakerphone, Redial, Transfer, Conference, Hold, Volume keys.

Basic Settings via Phone UI: Menu > Settings > Account, Time & Date, Audio (ringer, handset, speaker volume), Network. Advanced Settings via Web Interface: Access phone IP in browser (default user/password: admin/admin). Configure SIP parameters, call features, firmware upgrade, VLAN.

Connecting Devices

Network: LAN port to switch. PC: PC port to computer. Power: PoE or DC adapter.

  1. Turn off devices before connecting if not using hot-pluggable PoE.
  2. Match cables to ports (RJ45 to LAN/PC, RJ9 to handset/headset).
  3. For wall mounting, attach the wall mount bracket to the phone first.

Tip: Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance.

Basic Call Operations

Make, answer, and manage calls.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number, press Dial softkey or wait.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press Answer softkey.
  3. End a Call: Hang up handset or press EndCall softkey.
  4. Hold/Resume: Press Hold key during a call; press Resume softkey.
  5. Mute: Press Mute key during a call to mute microphone.
  6. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  7. Conference: During first call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to merge.
  8. Redial: Press Redial key or check Call History list.
  9. Adjust Volume: Use Volume keys during a call (handset/speaker) or idle (ringer).

WARNING! Do not disassemble the phone. No user-serviceable parts inside.

Accessibility Features

Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC) Handset: Meets FCC requirements. Visual Alerts: Flashing LED for incoming calls (configurable). Ringer Volume: Adjustable up to 90dB. High-Contrast Display: Backlit for better visibility.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, dampen cloth slightly with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
